1. Data controller

2. What data we process

• Contact information you provide via the request form: email, company name or full name, phone (optional), message content.
• Technical data collected automatically by analytics tools, only with your consent: anonymised IP address, browser, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, session duration.
• Communication: your emails and phone calls to our contacts.

3. Purposes and legal basis

• Replying to inquiries and preparing commercial offers — basis: pre-contractual measures and our legitimate interest in maintaining business relations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
• Analysing aggregated site usage and improving the website — basis: your consent given in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
• Fulfilling legal obligations (accounting, tax) — basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. Cookies and analytics

We use only one strictly necessary browser storage entry and — after your consent — Google Analytics 4 cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

The home page and the contacts page embed a Google Maps map. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and may use its own cookies under the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

5. Recipients of data

• Email and hosting providers (within the EEA).
• Formspree, Inc. (USA) — delivers contact form messages to our email.
• Analytics provider — consent only: Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics 4).
• Google — the Google Maps map on the home and contacts pages.
• Public authorities — where required by law.

6. International data transfers

Contact form data is sent to Formspree, Inc. in the USA. If you do not want your data to be sent to the USA, contact us by email or phone instead (see section 1).

Google Analytics 4 may transfer data outside the EEA under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

7. Retention periods

• Inquiry data: up to 24 months after the last contact unless a commercial relationship begins.
• Accounting records: 5–10 years as required by Latvian and EU law.
• Analytics data: the period set in Google Analytics (2 or 14 months).

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, request data portability and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to info@salt.lv.

9. Complaints to the supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Latvia: Datu valsts inspekcija, Elijas iela 17, Rīga, LV-1050, www.dvi.gov.lv. In Lithuania: Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija (vdai.lrv.lt). In Estonia: Andmekaitse Inspektsioon (aki.ee).

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective from" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
